does anybody know if it is ok to run my hella 500s with the plastic covers on? i love the way they look with the white covers showing through my black grill. but i worry that if i forget to take the covers off before i turn them on that it will mess them up.

 

I would think as long as you dont turn them on with the covers on you should be ok, even with the 55 watt bulbs those lights put out some serious heat. I would be careful not to accidentally turn them on. I have been known to turn them on without realizing it so I couldnt put the covers on.

 

You could try to add the automatic cover remover option?

just kidding - they will be fine as long as you don't turn them on!

 

yeah, they will be fine with them on but if you turn on the lights and forget about it im sure the plastic will start to melt if its on for a while
