SLR Chip and Throttle "B" Spacer???
Probably been beatin up here but I'm trying to learn some about these mods. I have a
SLR Motorsports Performance chip that ties into the two wires for the air temp sensor.
Street Performance Electronics "Helix" Power Tower Plus" Throttle Body Spacer.
These were on there when I bought it and just wanted to know if you guys have had any experience with them. There off right know along with the K&N, but that will go back on. With those other two the guy estemated 17- mpg Hwy and without right now I'm getting 14.8. So I'm sure they work but "put them back on or buy a nice Programmer or different chip"? I'm new to all the programmer/chips/any electronics for performance so details would be great so I can look it up. I would like to know the best out there for performance/mpg/horse power/torge/ etc... Thanks again

The "chip" you mention sounds like this http://airram.com/product.php?catego...1&productid=21 sold by one of the forum sponsors. It just tricks the truck into thinking it's getting colder air and some people say it can help mpg with a light foot. The throttle body spacers are considered paper weights by most here, but if you get mpg gains with it use it. I suggest you buy a superchips 3815 programmer, have your exhaust redone from the cats back or just put a better muffler on like magnaflow if you want the cheaper route, get some headers, and install an electric fan. All of these have been proven by many members to give worthwhile gains in power.
K&N intakes or filters always seem like a good mod to pretty much everyone. but the other two you mentioned probably arent helping you out too much. as Chambers mentioned that "Chip" you have is basically a resistor in a fancy package, and the throttle body spacer doesnt do much if anything for our modern fuel injected engines except make a stupid whining noise.
you will be able to elaborate on all of this through this forums awesome search engine but the main mods that will help you out are: intake, exhaust, programmer(superchips flashpaq or diablosport predator are this forums favs) electric fan, and gears. as far as bolt on mods go, those are the ones to give you the most bang for your buck.

i know for a fact that tb spacers are worthless on the magnum engines with the kegger intake, as for y'alls hemi's i have heard they do actually work... although i dont have a dyno or a hemi......
