Default Windshield Replacement...??

Had a chip in the windshield repaired, and shortly after it has been cracking across with shield. I will need a new windshield.

I had a bad experience with a previous truck's windshield replacement where the seal was bad and ended up rusting out some important electronics causing all sorts of issues.

Any tips on a safe replacement? I see dodge offers a windshield glass. I wonder if the dealers install? Geico will be picking this one up...

Tips please!!

I'm sure the dealer can do it. I don't know what the laws are in your state, but in MA, we can choose whoever we want to do the replacement and insurance must pay. I had a replacement windshield in my old truck and never had a problem. I just used a good glass shop.

Just had the replacement windshield installed last weekend. Installation appears to be professional and looks like it should. It’s the same glass that came out of it- has the black Ram emblem and everything. Hopefully I have a good seal and will not have leaking problems with this truck.

Geico was good to deal with for this glass claim, no hassles at all.

Glad to hear the new windshield went in OK>

I'm on my third windshield in my truck already. I got wise the last time, though, and found one of the companies that would warranty repairable chips for three years & complete replacement for one year.
