so i have some money saved up and i was thinking about getting the super chip for my 2002 dodge ram 1500 360. i have 4,56 gears and more stuff. so my ? is, is it worth getting the super chip would i save gas cuz i dont need more power right now not doing as much towing. or should i get something eles

 

i have the 02 360 as well, i just got the superchips 3715 and i couldn't be happier!
by FAR the best mod Ive done! cant say enough good about it!!!

 

what do you like about it. like whats it do for you. and how did you get the light kit that goes behind the grill?

The Superchips really wakes that 5.9L up, it's a great mod. I just ordered mine, paid $315 for a brand new one, so shop around! A lot of sites charge close to $400!

 

I have an 02 4x4 with the 5.9 also and have the superchips tuner and it gave me a little more power but I also noticed that it also helps the gas if I don't have lead foot lol.

And yes I love it also.

yep,good bang for the buck. it will give you more power for sure. i never noticed any mpg improvement. stayed about the same. just had more power.

 

as far as superchips def. a great product for light mods basic modded truck...but if you plan to go full blast custom like cams , headers ,ported heads - sct might be the way to go..which is the problem im running into now! i currently love the superchips i have , no complaints im just looking for a little more edge...

on the side: you guys with the 02 5.9 ltrs, why did they not put the engine in 03 and up models?
