Question Help! long box question

Hey all, excuse me for having to ask here, but I can't seem to find anything online about my question, so I figured I would try here.

I am looking for a used long box for a 2003 2500 quadcab. The one on the truck now is totalled, and apparently no body shop can find one. I am wondering what other years or models will fit??? if anyone can help a girl out, it would be much appreciated

I don't think there's anything special about the bed of a 2500 vs a 1500 (if that was available on the 1500) or 3500, so look into those too. I would think that any longbed from 02-08 1500, and 03-09 2500/3500 should fit your truck, (of course dually's are the exception).

The problems you might be running into is the longbeds are typically on work trucks, so they most likely take more of a beating than someone that uses their truck for personal use, and therefore are not really suited to replacing a damaged one... The back and side of the truck is also a common area to get hit in an accident.

thanks, I don't care if its dented a little or scratched and beat up, buddy borrowed the truck and managed to put it into 2 ditches, ie: the ping pong effect. he was to pay for the repairs, but instead skipped town, leaving me with a huge bill. Apparently the long box is a rarity up here, and the wreckers don't seem to be able to find one, so Im hoping that someone has got a truck they are parting out and I can get the body work done cheap thru friends. someone said it may be easier to convert it to a flat deck with a lip, but Im not sure if that will be any cheaper.
In any case, thanks for your help
