Hrm... Dualie is actually narrower at the fenders than the towing mirrors in non-tow position.

(Yeah, I'm still trying to make up my mind)

I think the stock mirrors are quite wide on their own and I couldn't imagine driving through the city streets with Tow mirrors constantly. Just the non-tow position still adds a few inches outwards. Makes a big difference. I don't tow anything that would need tow mirrors. All my trailers have fenders for the tires and they aren't recessed.
Also, driving a Dually for a D is just ridiculous and costly. 6 rubbers to pay for not 4. Try fitting in parking spot at the mall or when you go out to dinner. Plan on taking your wifes car to those things and events.

My yearly driving is well under 8K miles. With good weather, I ride my bicycle to work.

And... yeah, that's what the wife's car is for.

the mirrors interchange with the std ones, you could sell/swap them out. always someone lookin for the other style.
or just get a std set and swap as necessary.

If that was for me, you'll get my tow mirrors when you pry them out of my cold...

I was actually commenting that dualies really weren't "that wide" since they are actually narrower than the mirrors. If the front of the truck fits, then the rear should.
