Default Tire opinions and advice

Hey guys new to the site but owned my Ram for 6 months, on top of some basic mods I've done I also put in a rough country 2.5 inch leveling kit. Rough country says they recommend running a 33x12.5...I'm currently looking into 17x8 Ultra Goliaths wheels. I'm at a stand still on what size tire to go with...I can get the 33x12.5, 305/65, or 305/70. What is the best size tire to fill in the wheel well and what brand do you recommend. I really like the Dick Cepek Mudd Country and the Pro Comp Mud Terrains.

Thanks,
Ray

if you are looking for a good mud tire, i am really happy with the way mine dig.these are 35/12.50's on 17x9 with 4.53 backspacing.

Are you running a lift or leveling kit?? Im running a Rough Country 2.5 leveling kit and they are recommending 33x12.5 If your running the same as I am than I would have no problem going with 35's as long as I know they are going to work....Ray

i have a torsion bar. so i cranked it up until it was level. with the 35's you will have a very slight rub when the wheel is cut and hit a bump. i am getting a lift soon, so i am just dealing with it for now. it is just a slight rub though. and if you are gonna try to stuff 35/12.50 in there you will have to make sure you get the right backspaced rim.

33's will fit for sure though. thats what comes stock on the 20 inch stocker wheels.which is what i took off.
