since the last snowstorm we had at the beginning of the month my break pedal has been squeaking anytime i put any sort of pressure on it. i thought maybe it was just the cold weather but it does it in all temps. i hit it with some WD40 today but not sure its doing the trick. anyone got any quicks ideas or had the same issue? its every annoying
I have to agree with jagass, WD-40 is not a good lubricant. It's best used as a penetrating oil and protectant, and while it will lubricate things for a little while, it won't really last. Try some lithium grease instead. You can get it in HD or Lowes right next to the WD-40. I have a kind of squeak in my pedal too, but it hasn't bothered me enough to do anything yet.
