rear end gears
he's not looking at it the way we would, he's looking for better times at the track.
The Hemi will get up into it's sweet spot just a shade faster with the 4.88s, get them...

he could calculate the final drive ratio to the ground and determine rpms at his average track times now, and what the rpm would be after 4.88...thats all i was thinking
gotcha, I was assuming you were going on tire height alone to determine what gears would be needed. As 4x4 owners we would, but he wants to get his rpms up into the sweet spot asap...
I think it was the gearvendors sight that said if you go to 4.88's you would probably need to upgrade your axles also. I'm not sure if they meant you definitely needed to or if they're just saying that there will be more strain on them.
i forgot to ask. I know the abs speed sensor is on the differential and reads off the ring gear. has anybody had there abs system reprogrammed after there gear swap. If you didnt does your abs kick in early or not at all. how much would it cost to reprogram the system?
