Default Need help

I have a 2008 1500 Big Horn with the 20" rims with the plastic crome covers on it, I'm very **** about keeping my truck clean, always rinse it off after snow storms to get the salt off always looks clean, but 3 out of the 4 rims are starting to corrode on the lip of the wheel. I have 8500 miles on it and i'm a little concearned about what dodge/the dealership will say. Has anyone ever had this issue?? also any ideas on what to do.

How are they corroding? Is the chrome finish coming off/fading? I don't live around snow, but I wouldn't think it should be doing that, being so new.

What you describe is not an uncommon problem. Some guys have had luck with getting the dealer to replace them and others have not. You'll probably have to take it in and see what they say.

My rims are alum they glue a plastic crome piece on the rim to make it look like crome. It is not the plastic it is the lip of the rim like where a wheel weight sits. In that area it is like the clearcoat is not thick or something and the lip in a few spots is grey and corroded . The well cover looks good still
