What are the differances between the Rough Country 4-5.5, the fabtech 6 inch lift and Pro Comp 5.5 inch lift. The Knuckles that come with them all seem to be the same and lift the truck 4 inches. So does are the torsion bars being used to gain the other 1.5-2 inches that these advertise. Do these kits lift the trucks the same amount. What other componantes are differant in the lift kits???

I know most of the torsion bar truck lift kits like the back of my hand. The Rough Country is a fairly bargain basement kit, but I've never known anyone to have a problem with one. Fabtech is really a 5.5" lift even though they market it as a 6". Pro-Comp is ok. The better built kits utilize a solid box type sub-frame as opposed to just a single or dual crossmember. These would primarily be the Rancho 4" and the Skyjacker 6", and are priced somewhat higher. The Skyjacker is the only TRUE 6" kit and as such is the only one that allows for 37" tires with no modification, although 37's and that much lift REALLY strain our relatively weak CV axles...
