Yup. Mine's still in there though. I just learned to not use 4x4 as much... LOL - became a much better winter driver.

Yeah, here's a pic of the pinion angle of my CV shafts after the 2" kit install. really not that steap an angle IMO

i have a 2.5 TGC leveling kit on mine and i don't have any shudder after my alignment. Have a 4wd shop do your alignment, not the dealer. I made that mistake. They had my truck for 2 full days and couldnt get it right.

This is kind of discouraging, I was going to level mine in two weeks but if this is what I have to look forward to, then no way.

It's hard to say if you will have the shudder or not, it's been very hit and miss with the '06 - '08's. My buddy has the same truck as me and has no problem with his 2.5" HBS level kit.

I did notice however, that if you put your truck in 4x4 hi (test on dry pavement, but for a short ride and not fast) - without the level kit, if you have even a faint shudder, you will have an extreme shudder with the level kit installed.

Did my alignment today praying it would fix the shudder........NOT!! Still shudders!!
My mechanic was telling me that if i lowered the differential 2" it would solve my problems?? Is there even a kit to do that??

damn, that sucks, dude. I was hoping the alignment would fix you up, but I knew it'd be 50/50.
I wonder why some coil fronts do it and some don't. You NEVER heard of this with the '02-'05 torsion front 4x4s...

The reason lowering the differential 2" would solve the problems is because the leveling kit pushes the A-arms down (the entire tire assembly down) but leaves everything else at the stock position. This puts the CV shaft at a greater angle than stock. If you look at the CV shaft at the stock position it's only a few degrees of pinion angle. The leveling kit puts it at a greater angle.

A suspension lift brings the differential down so you don't have the problem.

That's why I think the hi angle inner CV joint kit will fix the problem. KORE has been closed the past two days, so I could not order mine. I am calling today to order the kit.

This is what I am talking about... read the section about the inner CV joints... makes perfect sense

Just when i was going to order the kit I got a letter from my attorney... I have a lemon law hearing on the 24th so I am waiting until after that.

if nothing happens as a result of the hearing, then I will buy the kit... $625 and have Jimmy Dean's Off Road install them for me ($200). They will also be installing a lift kit... can't wait.
