Default Good year or Nitto...

For my 06 2500 Ram, I need tires, the Stock BFG are Toast.

Goodyears new of LT truck tires, silent Armora looks to be a ok work tire and I really like the Dura Grapplers from Nitto.

I need a tire that dos not have a tight tread pattern ( like the RT from bfg ) All the othier brands, I have ruled out ...

thoughts...

Don't get Goodyear. Every Goodyear tire I've had has been lousy in rain and snow, including the stock tires I have on my truck now. I'm looking at getting the Cooper Zeon LTZ's. On my old truck I had BFG All Terrain TA/KO tires and they lasted forever, and had a good tread pattern.

Silent Armor... My father had them. they wore out in 30kmi. Also, they were a very harsh ride he said prob because the extra kevlar reinforcing????

Also, you need a Load E tire for the 2500. Do they make the Silent armor in 10ply?
He just bought the Firestone Destination A/T. very good tire. one of the better one's on Tireracks site. Cheap enough too. Although he only got Load C 6ply. Think he paid $154 locally mounted and balanced. for 265/70?/17 for a 02 f-150

LTZ'a are great. I have them, however they ar for 1500 series trucks with the 20's. They don't make the LTZ's for 17's. They are rated as Extra Load. haven't figured out if that's 6 ply or 8ply???

Dog, check this out. http://www.coopertire.com/html/produ...e=S&sorttype=T
They are listing a 265/70/17 on the website. It says load range E.
Is that the size you need Cyclone?

Thanks...I'm leaning towrads the nitto Dura graplers at 320.00 a pop cdn, thier not cheap, but what the hell, my shoe box can allways use the extra papper work come tax time..

Ordering on line will not save me anything, by the time the exchange rate and screw you tax for living in Canada come into play, it all costs the same..

And yes, LT 265 70 17 is what I need, considering 285 70 17, any size larger and I have to get fender flars, I want to stay with the 17 in rims.
