Default 34's or 35's with 3.92's?

I'm considering getting some bigger tires soon and haven't decided what size. I really want some 35's with a body lift but I'm worried it would lose too much power. If I don't do the body lift I want the 305/70r17's. Would going with the 34's be alot smarter, or would the 35's be fine?

i have 3.92s with 35s (actually 34 measured), and i dont get great mileage but it still has plenty of power. i would eventually like to go to 4.56 if i can ever afford it, but it does fine. i tow with it also on occasion, its not bad. but, i dont beat it up either, im pretty easy on it.

You will be alright with 35s, i have 35s and 392 gears and its still pretty good. still knocks away them fords like they arent there and many other trucks around my area. going down to a 34 is not a big difference. you wont notice a difference by feel over that one inch. the rotating mass is very small. also my rims are the heavy fctory 20s right now and its still not to bad.

If you ain't never experienced 35's with 4.56s, what you don't know, you won't miss. The 35's will be ok...

If you ever get in a truck with 4.56s and 35's, you'll go home and **** on yours...

Will the gas mileage drop considerably? That is my other concern...

If you even need to ask that question, stay where you're at.

The two worst things you can do for gas mileage is to lift it up which produces wind drag (you ever wonder why all trucks are raked down in the front from the factory anymore?)

and put bigger and heavier tires on it...

I hear if you go anything over 33 it would be more beneficial to go with 4.10 and up.

When my grandpa got his truck, the dealer told him that the 4.10 gears it had was good for turning his 20s and 33 inch tires. But 3.92s should be good, but 4.56 gears would be the best. I want to go to those some time also.

I know it will go down. I was wondering about how much? I have another car that I drive every day and my truck is usually just on the weekends. I'm getting 13-15mpg now with it leveled. I just don't want to get like 9-11mpg...
