Hi,

As I went to start-up today, my truck appears to be disabled. I get a low tire pressure light (all tires are OK) and my engine won't crank. In addition, my keyless remote now doesn't work.

Any ideas?

Change battery in remote. What year RAM?

 

Yeah, I'd say it's the key. Either the battery is too weak, or the truck has "forgotten" the key codes. Do you have a spare key? Try that one. If it doesn't work, it sounds like you're going to have to get it to the dealer. Hopefully it's still under warranty?

I have a spare key on the way over. Will let you know but my dealer says call a tow-truck. What a pisser.

Does the sentry key system require battery power to send the code to the ignition? That could be why it didn't start.

 

Neither key worked. I had full electrical system working except for the starter and the key-less remote.

Ended up disconnecting the battery, reconnecting it, then everything worked fine.

Drove it to the dealer and left it there. Hopefully this is a one-time gremlin.
