Question New gears?

So it's been a good 2 weeks since my last mod, my leveling kit, anyways, Has any one ever put, or considered putting new gears on their 3.7? I feel the tires that I have on it might be putting too much strain on my engine and gears, but I have no clue what route to go. Any help is appreciated.

gear was like 200..from us gear (they make chrysler's oem gears).

posi was like 750. labor was like 350. it was like 1100 out the door, and i don't know where my math is off though...haha. basically the posi was the most expensive part...and added nothing to labor.

it does require some modification though...so don't do it yourself if it isn't your thing. some **** had to be grinded down...like, i hope don't don't go into my differential. i think i'm having trans problems, and as soon as camaro is out of shop and i have another vehicle to drive, i'm taking the truck in. and yea...if they take apart my differential to 'investigate', they will see a bunch of **** grinded down (for clearance issues). but yea, they're quiet and awesome. spend the additional $50 for us gear (top tier) instead of a motive gear. sure, the dealer may say use motive, but any transmission/diff shop will tell u other wise. and also, us gear makes our oem gears, so why the hell have so many people's dealers told them to use 'motive'?

the shop will have a posi just sitting around...that's what i did. don't buy a new one.

your truck drives with 1 wheel...the back right one on our trucks. a posi makes them both spin at all times. in a 2wd truck, it's unfortuntealty the next best thing to 4wd during winter. and accelerating it's awesome once u get to the point where floooring it from a dead halt spins out the back wheel. look all all the v6 ram burnouts of you tube...they are only of one tire...which is so gay. burnout are so dumb unless both wheels are turning. you could probably go through all those comments on people doing one-wheeled burnouts and see a comment posted by 'derricksmash' calling them some obscene name =)

but yea...posi is good for every reason having twice the driving wheels would do (traction basically)...and when u burnout at the track, your truck doesn't swerve to one side =)
