Chad has good stuff and so does HID's From Twiggy. He is on DT too and also has the lifetime warranty and has a plug and play flicker free kit. Maybe the user name is just a generic thing that he does.

I bought a set of HID dual beams off ebay for $120. Added in a cheap power resistor so the computer sees the right resistance and everything works great. The flickering that everyone complains about with HIDs is actually the truck's computer system protecting itself. Prior to adding the resistor to my lights mine would flash 5 times then shut off.

I replaced the aftermarket HIDs on my dad's Mercedes with a set that I bought from a guy selling them on Craigslist. Cost me $159 and the ballasts are designed specifically for vehicles with computers like our Dodges so they have the resistor built in.

IMO, $525 is outrageous when you can get a kit that will work perfectly for a lot less.

I just asked him and he said "sorry, we usually just ask for username as it is one more thing that allows us to recognize customers.

we do not have any plans for a group buy at this time, but perhaps a few months down the road. "

I only paid $170 for my Bi-Xenon 6000ks from Chad. Now granted I waited until the Group Buy was there because no, I wasnt going to pay 235 for a set. But at $170 with a lifetime and complete PnP v/s $120 off ebay and still have to buy my own resistors and relay and no lifetime warranty, well anyone can see there is no comparison there.

Just wait for a Group Buy and go act on it.

I'll agree that $170 for bi-xenon is a great price. Even $235 isn't a terrible price. When HID first hit the aftermarket a cheap kit was $500 and the quality wasn't any better than the low price kits are now.

What style bulbs do you have? Are they the true bi-xenon or the telescopic bulbs? Both my vehicles use the telescopic bulbs and they work great. By true bi-xenon I mean 2 small xenon tubes on the base, using seperate ballasts for high and low.

Mine are a single bulb with a magnetic base that moves the bulb. But in all honestly, I never have had the need to use high beams, my lows+fogs put out plenty of light.

actually i miscalculated the price in the beginning, instead of 525 the price is really 575 and I would agree to wait on the group buy becuase that is A LOT of money for me as I'm 18 and work 15 hours a week right now, how much do you usually save on group buys, anyone know?

well im buying more than just an HID kit, I'm getting the angel eyes kit installed which is 200 for the eyes and 150 install (350 total so far), then the HID kit which is about 225 (575 total now) and whatever shipping is both ways...

I have about 50 minutes before the UPS store closes for today and I sent him an e-mail seeing if I can get some sort of deal on this...if not i'll have to wait for a group buy
