Default mufflers
is it the shorter the muffler, the quieter? or is it the longer, the quieter?

the stock muffler is huge, when i swapped it out with the 40 series (which is a lot smaller) it was much louder

Generally, the longer/bigger your muffler gets, the quieter it gets.
