Get yourself a few old socks and fill them with corn or beans. They make a good solid rest between your hood and the gun.

I carry a set of suede bag rests inside the truck. Just filled with sand and the soft suede won't scratch... I picked them up at Cheaper Than Dirt online for about $12...

you could also buy some of those cheep magnet bullet holes and slap a few of them on the hood and around the truck... No one would ever know you actually shot it then..

oh sorry, typing error. im surprised that you didnt say anything about the wrong form of catch. do you have to analyze everything???
and btw, you do catch some animals. look at wild hogs, a lot of people set up traps for them. you do shoot them later but you first catch them. and you can also set up traps to catch deer. ha! i guess you dont hunt
