Monotone (sans chrome) look? What package?
Hello! Long time reader, first time poster
I am in the market for a new truck to replace my venerable, loyal, but aged 1994 F150. I have considered the new F150, the current series Ford Super Duty (for looks alone, I have no towing needs that great), and I am now at the Dodges. Without having driven one, I am leaning towards the Dodges because they offer the nicest extended cab setup out there... both in looks and space. I would LOVE to find a gently used one in the setup I am looking for, but I dont hold out much hope for that.
Assuming I like the ride, I am looking for pretty much a "sport" model. You know, monotone appearance, 20" rims, Hemi, Quad cab, 4WD, etc... When building them on the Dodge site, I can select everything I want in the truck... except how it appears. I have seen SLT's with the monotone appearance, and with the chrome appearance. I dont know how a SLT comes in its "natural" form, and what I need to get the monotone look. Perhaps you guys can help me?
What exactly do I need to do to get the "no-chrome" look? Thanks!
Jim

I saw that on the website. It didnt make mention of the monotone stuff. Also, I dont want all the rest of that stuff... the air deflector is about the only piece there I want. The hood scoop and ground effects do nothing for me
EDIT: Okay I found it. Because of the color I was picking, it wasnt allowing me to select that option. I just went right by it since it was greyed out.
Thanks!

I dont think it comes with a scoop or ground effects, unless I called it the wrong thing which is also a package....I'll check my window sticker tomorrow and see what they called it.
I decided to look tonight, LOL......

the only thing that sucks about the Sport Appearance Package is that the front bumper doenst handle rock chips as well as chrome.
Along with the color matched grill and bumpers you also get the color matched door/side protectors too.
