Default Couple of questions?! New to Ram...

While I am driving down the road and hit bumps, I get a little rattle/clicking noise in my left front tire? Does anyone know what this could possibly be? Only happens when I hit bumps, not when I am just driving.....Also, does anyone encounter this....I will start the truck, and if I don't wait long enough before I put it in drive and take off, I get a loud whistle noise under the hood that goes away in about 5 seconds????...Finally, popping noise underneath engine and cab around front axle when I turn left?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks to all!!

For the thumping I would say ball joints. For the whistle, sounds like maybe a intake leak, since it goes away once it is warm. How many miles do you have on your truck? For the intake you can turn the truck on and spray sone WD-40 near the intake if the engine rev's then that should be the problem. I would also check the vaccum lines and make sure they are all connected. Just what I would do. Goodluck

Thank you? I might try that...I was also thinking ball joints, I am ordering new ball joints to put on here next month, and new shocks next week....It has 75,500 on it, i recently put on about 4,000 in december i drove to Nebraska from DC for christmas, but everything runs good, just wondering about those little things. I have plans of blacking it out. Got some parts on their way right now should arrive this week, will put up pictures when its all done!...thanks again for the advice, if you thinkn of anything else, if you could please let me know. thanks.

About the front left popping I had the same problem thinking it was ball joints and as my dodge dealer was putting new ones on they noticed that the bolt that connects the body to the frame was missing. What I heard was the body bouncing on the frame and it only happened when I turned that direction. They fixed it free of charge and have not heard it since. No problem.

haha crazy...but i'll check that out before i order the ball joints....cuz they really don't look too bad, but hey ya never know and pdavis, with the WD 40 just spray that into the air intake or what???....and do any of you know about the rattling when i go over bumps in the front left tire? think shocks might fix that noise, the front left one is starting to go out, and i am replacing them here in a couple weeks.....but still just wonderin if there are any thoughts....what lining do you think is best, Rhino Lining or LineX

Also could be a wheel bearing. I had to replace my front drivers side because it was making a rubbing/thumping noise.
