Default ok i maybe blind....

but where are my plugs and plug wires on my truck they are not in plain view like a normal truck do i have a coil pack or something was looking to see if my wires and plugs needed to be replaced im thinking they do 56k on it and wanna put some ngk in it and some good wires but im confused yes ive worked on all my vehicles but this is the newest ive ever owned and ready to learn more its 4.7 v8 got any ideas or suggestions i know kick a man while hes down but i just opened and looked it was all hot so i didnt go pokin around....sorry and yes i did search........

One under each coil...no wires on the pre-08's

so do i replace the coils too that could get expensive couldnt it.....

You shouldn't have to replace the coils unless they go bad. Just remove the nut, pull them off, and take out the plugs. By the way I believe you have 16 plugs.

it looks like only 8 coils but like i said im new to this truck and slowly learning it cuz ill need to maintain it any one else with a 4.7 that can relate or shed some light....

Yup, 8 coils, 16 plugs. There should be a plug wire heading from each coil to a plug across the engine. They do it that way for redundancy - so if a coil fails, that cylinder will still fire via the second plug powered off the opposite coil. I think the second plugs are on the side of the engine.

Edit: I hope I am correct about this - I know the 08's have the dual plug design, and I thought the 07's do too. If not, then it's just the one under the coil.

googled it 8 plugs and coils and use anti sieze .... damn i shoulda googled earlier.....dead thread.....now unless anyone else has opinions......

thats on a hemi. hes got the 4.7, 8 plugs, one under each coil, dont need to replace the coil every time. im getting due for new coils and im at 119k still has original on them

Actually according to my 08 pamphlet, the 08 4.7 also has 2 plugs per cylinder as well.
