Default Cleaned my throttle body today.

Like the title says.. I didn't take it off. All I did was spray a **** load of throttle body cleaner in there and took a tooth brush to it. It was pretty dirty. However, I drowned my engine for a little while. After I started it up I got a check engine light. Turns out the IAT sensor had a high output or something. Either way, not gonna drown my engine again. Btw, spraying the throttle body while the engine almost makes it stall. Lesson learned. Any input?

most posts on the forum say a throttle body is a waste of money, what is your take on them? What are the advantages/disadvantages? What do they bring to the table?

Mine was four bolts. The worst grunge is on the back of the butterfly. BTW, Dodge says NOT to use carburetor cleaner. This stuff apparently is similar to throttle body cleaner. Best to use brake cleaner. Don't get any fluids in the motor attached to the TB.
