Default K&N

I just received a message from a fellow 2nd generation ram owner who told me he knew somebody selling a K&N intake kit for my truck for cheap. I wanted to get your guys' opinions on the intake. I had planned eventually doing a Volant on the truck, but if I can get it cheap enough, I wouldn't care if it was a K&N. I have to check with the dealership first to make sure it's not going to void my warranty, but if it won't, I was considering buying it. Thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks.

K&N filters are great and the only way a CAI will void your warranty is if they can prove it caused whatever part to break which ive never heard of happening before

Go for it (as long as it's cheap enough -- their stuff seems a bit over-priced to me). The dealer will have no idea whether it'll affect the warranty or not.
