I just bought a 02 ram 1500 4x2 with the 4.7 v8. I noticed the tail lights and the front side marker lights are not working. I checked the bulbs and fuses. The flasher lights operate. Anyone have any ideas?

I had almost the same problem with mine.... the suggestions i got was it could be the ground wires.... mine turned out to be the part under the fuse box... it was only reading half my fuses so i paid a pretty penny to get the dealership to replace it....

mine is an 05 quadcab With Hemi, on mine it is only the right side???

 

I jumpered the contact on the relay. lights work now. i have a switch run to the cab for now so i can drive at night. I used a multi meter to check the wiring on the fuse box. 3 out of the 4 pins on the relay base i found. It looks like you guys were right the fuse box is bad. How much do they cost and were cac i get one?

Had this issue with my truck not too long ago, affected my front and rear park lamps.

Costed me a cool $1200 - Cluster and fusebox.

I guess that includes the labour to find and fix this problem?

My fuse box cost $225 all in fully loaded c/w all new fuses and relays.
It took 20 minutes to install.
I got my box from Sorensen Schade a Dodge dealership down in Florida, when I was on holiday from the UK. Took 5 days to get it in stock.
You can as previously mentioned, jumper the park lamp relay to give you a temporary fix.

I think it's a cable connection problem...

 

I located a fuse that was only hot with the ignition switch on an used it to turn on the relay. Now I have daytime running lights. If I have any other issues I will change out the fuse panel.
