I could just have the guy take everything off up until the cats, then run seperate pipes into the muffler then have the two tailpipes like I wanted anyways. It wouldn't be a "true dual". This way I don't have to buy another muffler, and can just send the 50 series back. Thoughts??

Also, my brother will give me his 2.5" in/out magnaflow cats from his true dual system. Both his Super 40 and cats are only 5 months old. This sound good?? Or should I not touch the stock cats?
The easiest way to figure this out is by first picking a muffler, not because it is free or what you are told to get by some guy on the end of the phone but because you like the sound of it (since that seems to be your deciding factor). Do some research, pick a muffler you like and go with it. That is the only way you are ever going to make a decision and stick to it.

I am just fine with the Super 40, it was the muffler I was going to buy when I returned the 50 series. I just wasn't sure if it was going to affect the performance of the engine running a dual in/dual out muffler? I could run a pipe from each of the stock cats. Is there going to be any performance gains doing it this way over a 3" inlet system with the y-pipe?

Brendon, how did you get the truck into your signature ?? Lol. Looks awesome bro.

Ok fellas, help me out here lol. I was thinking about the muffler situation laying in bed, and I know what I want.

I'm going to stick with that 50 HD muffler. But, since it most likely will be quieter than I want, I will run that cutout. That way when I have a lot of people in the vehicle, it won't be too overbearing, I'll get the benefit of running a muffler meant for our hemi motors, and it will be nice on the highway. But when I'm alone and want to be a vigilante, I can hit the switch and be loud as hell.

So, hypothetically, could the exhaust shop install the cutout wihout hooking it up? And then I could go in there at my leisure and hook it up myself? I don't want to get raped having him do the whole exhaust and then try to hook it up. Also, how fast can I get that cutout shipped? I need it before May 15th. What do you all think??

thats sounds like a good plan. thats what im going to be doing. yea you can just have the shop weld the flowtech tube on and then install the actual motor part later. umm i believe truckin just ordered his and it took less than a week.

So the flow tech tube doesn't come attached to the cutout?
