Center Link ball joint

Default Center Link ball joint

Replaced steering gear box yesterday and as hard as it was to get the ball joint seperated how do you get it back in , have used anti seize, etc, am tired of being on my back. Thanks

They do make Ball joint presses that 'press' it back in. Have you checked with an auto aprts store to see if they have one for loan?

Yes I did and went to Auto Zone 150 to rent get it all back when returned only problem is it is very tight down there and I just did something wrong ruptured the top of ball joint now I have to replace that short piece as well. Think I am going to find someone who has done before. Nice Mastiff we have three and a female in the whelping box now expectating any hour.

Default What an ordeal

Ended up putting old gear box back on truck it was the o ring under the aluminium piece on top that adjust, the mit man arm was totally different and hole was too small, anyway the mastiffs water seems to have broken but she has not had any so may be a long night tonight.
