You won't need the 5000# kit on a 1500, ever. I have the 2000# Air Lifts and have towed a heavy double axle trailer with a Kubota tractor on it that weighed 7000# alone. It only took about 40 lbs of air in the bags to level the load.
That's only 40% capacity of the bags.

Hey all I did find the 59551 -2000 series on Amazon for the $177.99,

But I also found the 5000 series rated ones on Amazon for 179.99 to 220.99 depending on the condition. Now would going with the 5000's be over kill??

Can you do seperate air lines like the old school air shock air valves or should I get the AIR LIFT 25592 Load Controller II On Board Air Compressor System along with it??

Both the 5000 and the Load controller kit is going for $353.99 for both.

[Aslo do you HAVE to lose the bump stops to mount these?? Kinda leary of doing that only if I need too.

No you retain the bump stops with the Air Lifts. I've found that the 5000# (even almost empty) adds lift to the back end where the 2000 does not.
I may have a pic with mine installed that show the stock bump stops, but if I don't you are out of luck. I'm in NY and my truck is sitting in FL...

I know I dont need the 5000 lb bags, but i want em!!! lol

I will never need the 5000 lb ones, but I know a guy who owns a shop here in town, and he mainly deals with the HD trucks. He quoted me a cheaper price on the 5000 lb bags, than the 2000 lb bags. He says he orders those kits buy the dozen or something, so he gets a better deal.

More for cheaper? Why not?

Yes, my sentiment exactlly. If the price for the larger springs aren't that much more why not go with them??

And what about the air compressor?? CAN you do the tseperate air lines like the old school air shock air valves or should I get the AIR LIFT 25592 Load Controller II On Board Air Compressor System along with it??

Hey I bit the bullet and went ahead and got the AIR LIFT 59551 Ride Control Rear Air Spring Kit and a Recon 26411 60" Red Hyperlite "Line of Fire" LED Tailgate Light Bar.

Bags 177.73 (new) light was 45.30 (new too) Not bad just have to wait for 5-8 days to get them. I had wanted them by this weekend to get them installed, but saved on the shipping. Like most I have waaayyy more time than $$.

Who has done the install on them and have any photo's seems like a straight forward thing though.

Again thanks, H-
