Question Loss of ALL power!!!

So this has happend to my wife 3 times and not once for me. She said that she was driving about 30-35 mph and she looses control of the breaking system, stearing and acceleration. She said when it happens all the gages shut down then boot back up. I have no idea what this might be. I did have the predator on it but got rid of it the first time this happened. You know how when your in the middle of uploading a performance tune from a tuner and it erases all the memory then loads back up. It's just like that. I put the factory tune back on before i got rid of it and it still does it. It makes me nervous to drive cause I transport a 3 year old and a 4 month old not to mention the wife. Anyone have any ideas???

Have you checked the power cables from the batt to the fuse box? There is a big nut under there can that come loose and also check the ground cables to frame. IDK what else off hand.

There is a documented problem with the Predator where it wipes out the ABS system (I know this is NOT your issue) and even returning the truck to stock does not bring it back. It happens to some, and not others. Last I heard, they were working feverishly on correcting the issue.
It's possible you were correct and the Predator gave you this issue, but it didn't go away when you returned it to stock.
I would say it would be worth you getting in touch with Diablo. It may ultimately be necessary for you to have the dealer re-flash your PCM, which has been the fix for the ABS issue...

Have you brought it to the dealer yet? This clearly sounds like a warranty issue. And it has nothing to do with the tuner.

All the guys with the ABS issue were told this also, and I know you've read it, because you are on that forum as well. I'll bet I read 100+ posts that said "How can it be the tuner, it doesn't do anything to the ABS system". Then next thing, Diablo came out and said it had an issue with Torque Management and the ABS system. If you'd like the link, PM me. But I know you know where to go to read it.

If the problem did not show up until after the tune was installed, it's a possibility. How can you emphatically say it has NOTHING to do with the tuner?

I'm NOT saying it IS the Tuner, and if he has warranty, he should go that route. But I would still give a quick call to Diablo or better yet get on their forum, because I doubt they'd own up to it until it became common knowledge. If the problem did not show up until after the tune was installed, however unlikely, there is a possibility the tuner caused it.

I'm NOT bashing Diablo, hell I'm probably going to end up with one once they support '04 trannies, but NOBODY is owning up to issues until their backs end up against the wall anymore...

And to the OP: Play it safe, don't own up to the dealer about having the tune on it. I'm still betting it's a PCM problem and you don't want to give them ANY ammo to use against you for a warranty repair.
