ive been lookin on ebay my truck has power heated mirrors and i wanna get the tow mirrors

do the older(pre 02) mirrors and the newer (02+) mirrors just look very very similar or are they different


im only wondering because my buying options practically double if there the same

has any one put older tow mirrors on a newr truck or the opposite
