truck starting to rust

Default truck starting to rust

Hey, I was wondering if anybody elses truck is start to rust in the back bumper or spots of rust showing up in the paint? I have an 08 dodge ram 1500 only 4 months old bought it bac dec 29th with only 29 miles on it. My back bumper is all rusted out in the inside and spots of rust r showing up on the cab and bed.

Well, that would be covered under warranty, but now you'll have to see if they will honor any previously purchased warranty work???

I have been a finatic about keeping my truck clean and have had it undercoated. Not that sound proofed 1" thick crap, just a thin undercoat layer on the frame and undercarriage.

Could the rust have been started from rock chips? You in a sandy area? I hope for your sake Chrysler will fix it.

i live in southern delaware. Dodge dealership said they will replace the bumper and have the body shop look at the body

Rail dust. Particles stuck to your surfaces. Claybar and wax, you will be fine.
