so you are planning on cutting the muffler off completely? in tx you have to have a muffler and pipes that exit the vehicle..

I am going to cut about 4-6in of pipe off and leave the rest of it hanging so it appears to be normal exhaust until I am able to put on some magnaflow exhaust w/cutout and if it is to loud I might try putting on a resonator to quiet it down a bit but we shall see when it is all said and done and another question I should ask in advance is were is the O2 sensor in the exhaust so I dont throw a CEL

But I am not quite sure of the law in missouri but wouldn't a turn down be illegal in texas then

Just cut it anywhere after the Y pipe but before the muffler and you'll be fine, the O2 sensors are right behind (or in front) of the cats.
