Default '03 ram question

i'm planning tu buy a '03 1500 ram with a 4,7L engine and 64000km.what should i look for? any troubles you guys have experienced? thanks!

welcome to the forum, make sure you get a carfax, see how many owners used it before you and what for, obviously test drive it and make sure it runs properly, also make sure you're getting a decent price and not getting ripped off..if you think its questionable do a kbb on it

The rear LSD is prone to failure. Clutch pack retaining clips fall out. Can cause major damage if not caught in time. If rear end is open diff then no problem. Defroster door in dash is prone to breakage. The heat will only come out the defrost vent. Requires dash removal to repair. If you buy this truck. Operate your mode controls at low fan speed. Tie rods and ball joints should be checked good. Steering racks have been known to leak as well as the power steering return line. Apparently the 4.7 is known to sludge up.So make sure regular oil changes have been done. Front hub bearings on this truck are POS.
