Default Header gasket replacement and idiots...

SO...my header gasket was leaking bad...well took it in to get replaced...the guy took them off..and what do u know...a paper gasket. so I had a question for the shop...what happened to my upgraded mopar gaskets they were supposed to install in the 1st place???.....morons...driver side burned out on me....pass side was fine...but not for long. having them replaced with mopar srt header gaskets.

WOW, better try and get some free stuff out of em for that! one more reason for me to do things myself instead of taking it somewhere.

I used the cheap a$$ paper ones that came with the Pacesetters. I didn't like them from day one, but was too impatient to order a better gasket.
Luckily, mine are fine still, after about two years. I keep waiting for one to go so I can order the ones from Moe's and the locking bolts, but as long as it ain't broke, I ain't fixin' it...

I can't believe that they pulled that on you. I would be pretty pissed and would never go back there again no matter what.

+1!!! its so hard to trust anyone these days, and most mechanic shops/muffler shops think people are all morons and just do whatever they want.

my father has a 2000 jeep xj that kept throwin codes, shop replaced all the 02 sensors, didnt work so they got him to buy a whole new computer, still didnt work, still codes.
they didnt wire up the new o2 sensors. i plugged them in and hasnt had a problem since.
he is out $500 on the computer alone.
