no i didnt check to c how it looked i havnt noticed a fule increase yet i can keep my foot out of it lol but i can tell a defferince in power over the crome K&N CAI were it was 4inch at the filter then 3 all the way to the TB its 4inch all the way up to the TB with a 4 inch to a 3inch adapter and it also stays cooler than the crome cai and was alot cheaper! lol

Just finished mine tonight as well (3" PVC)....noticed a definite jump in hp and quicker response. I will post a pic tomorrow after I reinforce the mounting. Noticed a slight burn smell, which I am summing up to a couple of shavings left over from drilling the mount in. I thought that I had gotten them all out but guess not. Anyways, I have to take it for a bit of a lengthy trip tomorrow and will post back with regards to any difference in fuel economy (if I can keep my freakin foot out of it). Post some pics as well so I can compare notes and look for improvements.

Cheers
