Nah, won't hurt anything. i dousche my engine off on a regular basis. Never any problems and that's with a presure washer(i don't reccomend this if you don't know what you are doing!!!)
Rain falling from the sky doesn't have enough pressure to enter unrestricted areas. You could run with a hood off probably most of the vehicles life without major issue's other than maybe an alternator going or extended corrosion on bolts and small things. That's about it.

Wow, did you miss the news that Pontiac was already axed?

And why cut Buick and gmc who both bring in like 4 times more money than Pontiac?

That was my opinion, not a news flash. my opinion was simply based on what vehicles i like, and had nothing to do with profit margins or anything.

We got hammered with rain the last few days too. I had a rubber backed rug/mat that I layed over the engine and worked fine. Now the boring stock one is on till I can get the new one painted.

Trade you my Ram for your Firebird. lol
I hear you on the Trans Am/Firebird part. I want one of them or a Camaro. My dad was a big Camaro fan, and I've grown a big liking to the f-body style cars. Unfortunately, everyone at school has one.

Post up some pictures of the truck Jay. I'd like to see how your truck looks with the stock hood on it.
