Default Overhead Console

In my 2002 I have the overhead console like most of you have too.. Now when my grandma had the truck the part that shows the mpg and oil change interval and stuff like that worked but she said some times it didn't. What it would do is turn on and shut off when she would hit a bump. Then a couple months later it shut off completely...So now I have the truck and it doesn't work my pap thinks that a wire came loose and thats why it isn't working..Well I took it down and it seems that everything is plugged in.

So the question is is there another place that plugs into that could have come loose or did the whole unit go bad...(they aren't cheap)..the one I have has all the buttons that u can program the garage doors and stuff like that into if that matters..

I know from looking fuses they are all good

The console doesn't work at all? Or only when you hit a bump? I think you are on the right track of a loose connector... A fuse might also look good but might be broken and when you go over a bump it might make intermittent contact.

Im not sure but I think it might plug into another plug in the passenger side a-pillar.. thats where i wired in for my cab lights and i think the rest of the wires in the plug were for the overhead console

yeah it doesn't work at all..when i pulled the fuse it looked fine plus when i was reading the bottom of the lid for the fuses it says that the lights are connected in with that fuse so i would think if the fuse was bad then nothing would work
