sorry to just send you off to another site, but you'll find answers to all your questions here

I'm looking to get some tint done soon, and that site answered a lot of questions

Do not do it yourself - get a professional, the money you spend will be well worth the result you get. Tinting besides looking great helps save interiors and keeps the inside temps down. My caddie was tinted to the legal limit and it stayed so much cooler inside. Get it professionally done and you won't need to worry about bubbles or peeling - a shop worth going to will guarantee their work.

3M has a tendency to scratch very easily. Most shops recommend Llumar brand. I have used it for 6 years and have never had a problem out of it.

I would think that looking for a place that has a warranty on their work and their materials used would be important.
