Recirculate door on 1500 Mega? Out of Warranty
So I just had some warranty work done on my dodge right before the beggining of the month, new rear shocks (leaking) and front upper ball joints replaced. I haven't driven it since the 1st which I believe was the end fo the 3 year warranty.
I jumped in today, it's around 80 so I turned on the AC and got NO air out of the vents. The ac is working as there is a good amount of cold air coming out of the bottom vents, but none out of the front or top (when appropriately switched).
Does this sound like the recirc issue? This is in the front, not rear.
Think Dodge will cover it as I'm less than a month out of warranty? It's an 06 so it only has the 3/36k.

The quickest way to see if it is a recirc issue is to unplug the A/C system fan under the dash, unbolt its tree fasteners, and remove it. Then look up in there. If there is a piecs of plastic blocking the passage, reach up in there and remove it. You can then reinstall the fan and use it as is (will act as if always on "outside air"). Or replace the door.
The door can be replaced by removing the glove box and going through that way. You will have to remove the door and servo from the replacement recirc kit you get from the dealer and replace just those two parts. You don't get the benefit of the revised recirc box that's supposed to take the strain off the door and prevent future problems but this way of repairing it can be done in about an hour in your driveway.
Hope this helps.
