Default Door card removal????

Can anyone tell me where the fixing points are for the front door cards. I want to tint the windows, and it seems that the rubber fillet is just to close to the glass in order to get the film to slide nicely in to place.

I really dont want to break any clips or part of the trim.

Any help most appreciated. Mark

Door panels? Two screws at the sail panel, one under the release handle (plus panel screw there, I believe), and two at the bottom of the panel. Once they're out, lift the panel to clear the lock button. Never saw anyone take the panel off to install tint, though.

Just had front done today and they pulled the screws out at the top and popped it away from the window. Coolest thing I have seen was the computer controlled cutting machine that cut the window shape for my truck with no trimming. Fit on the window perfectly and 20 minutes out the door.

I am assuming the rear and side-rear windows are factory tinted.
What % tint did you get on the front? How close (darkness wise) is it to the factory tint?

Bluethunder.....didn't mean to hi-jack your thread

I have seen it done both ways, either taking off/pulling out the door panel or leaving it on the way it is. I guess it depends on how tight everything is pressed against the window.
Definitely remove the screw under the door release handle, it took me a while one day to figure out what the hell was holding the door in place, then I remembered that screw. Took it out and the door came right off. One of those 'live & learn' moments I guess!!

Factory rear/back I am told is 33%. Legal, in Fl, is 16% on front. I put 22% on front (split the difference). It is just a little lighter than the factory rear but there is a difference so if I get stopped its not obvious that its too dark.

Rear is suppose to be 18% not 33

Just telling you what the installer told me. He said the new (front) he was installing is 22%. It is a little lighter than the factory rear tint so I would assume what he was telling me was true.
