lol well i baught it with this dent. at 108,000 miles. for 11,000. its a 2004 dodge ram 4.7 L quad cab. well the dent is on the passenger side and as u can see on the picture the doors have a crease too. the body shop will charge me 2000 dollars to fix it. So if i were to sell it or trade it in would it be worth to fix the dent or not? it now has 113,xxx miles on it. i was wanting a hemi dodge lol. here is the picture and at bottom is the build sheet.

just leave it. Not worth it to fix, its a truck. Beat on it till it dies.

Trade would be a lot lower...if you want anything decent for it selling it is the only way to go. Might take awhile in this economy though. With the dents and high miles for a 04 i'd say around 6k trade and 9k sell if you're lucky.

 

you bought it with the dent and over 100k miles for 11k? sounds like you were had.

 

^^^^ Yup. That's not a dent. That's a sideswipe or entire side damage. i wouldn't have paid more than $7k like that with those miles. Sounds like $11k is what the guy owed on it.
If the street value is booked at let's say??? $11k. if the damage is $2k, you'll need to deduct that from the $11k and then prob another $500 because of the damage "dirty title" if you will.
Sad to say, but that truck if it's worth $8k you'd be lucky to get it.

 

With that size dent and that number of miles on a 4.7, I would say that in this area you would be lucky to get 7K for it.
