Default tailgate ?

how much weight can tailgate hold up? I have to load my 750 lb motorcycle for 800 miles and the rear wheel will be riding on the tailgate.

Dear god! What motorcycle weighs 750lbs?! Boss Hoss? Your tailgate should be fine but if it worries you I think you can upgrade the cables and/or throw some ratchet straps from the stake post holes to the tailgate.

you should be fine, but just to be safe you might wanna put a 2x4 under the wheel to distribute the weight.

you will be fine....i loaded my friend's bike and we went offroading while it was loaded and all was fine. just dont hit hard bumps.

2006 honda vtx 1800c,dry weight 743 lbs so iam a little worried about keeping it the bed upright.thanks for the info it will help.

Loaded my Victory Touring Cruiser in the bed for 400 miles and 4 days with the rear tire on the tail gate and it is somewhere around 750 lbs.

the tailgate will hold just fine!!! but a trip to ace hardware got my thicker cable and was only like $10

I agree with above... It should be fine, but to be safe you might be able to angle it enough to get the front wheel into the corner and the back wheel in the opposite rear corner.
