anyone find the box for on 02 5.9L?

 

I just did this to my 02 QC 4.7L and it worked great. Noticed a big improvement at WOT when it shifts, no lag shifts quick and hard and just pulls.

 

will this work on the 02 4.7 and will it be bad news for my transmisson?

 

well it worked on my 02 4.7 so i would assume it would work on yours, and i can't tell you if it will bad news for the transmission.

 

I will look at my truck later today, if I do indeed have everything necessary I will give it a try, I will post my build dates as well for others as it seems some are capable of this and some are not.

 

Should work on your truck and as for hurting the transmission.......there are other people on this & other boards who have clocked up over 50K miles+ and no problems.

What all am i supposed to be getting out of doing this? Faster shifting from 1st to 2nd at WOT? Do i need to have overdrive off when doing it? Is it for all the gears at WOT?

 

So is the 5.9 litre supported on this mod? is there any kind of TM on the 5.9 that can be shut down?

 

I can't give you definitive help as I don't have a 5.9 but.......do the 5.9's have the 545 RFE transmission?
If so, then this will be do-able.
I don't however think they do???

I know the 5.9s from 04 to 01 have 46re tranny, but im not sure if the tranny on the 02 changed, so much changed throughout the entire vehicle and I have only had it a matter of 2 days, but its possible they may have changed the tranny to match up with the new suspension better, but I cant be sure, someone else who knows more might chip in????
