03 TMR delete mod.
Ok, so I pulled the wire today. Honestly there isn't any difference in (down)shift firmness or speed -- remember, this is with a programmer already.
It does improve power delivery immediately following a shift. It also seems to improve part-throttle response & driveability, say when cruising around 40-50 in town.
It is a worthwhile mod with or without a tuner, especially considering it takes like 10 minutes to do. Just don't expect night and day difference when you already have a programmer.

Yes disconnect the battery to do this.
The truck will then be safe from any electrical gremlins plus, you will also do a "cold reset" of your PCM so when you come to "romp on it", it will re-learn new values.
I feel a BIG push back into my seat at WOT on the 1/2 shifts and also an improvement in the 2/3 as well.
I have no programmer fitted though.
Hope this helps?

That is exactly what the mod does. Only noticed at WOT shifts. I have no experience with a programmer so I can't answer those questions.
Can you please explain this....sorry for my ignorance...
I have an 03 1500 qc sb 4.7. Will this work on my truck and does any one have a picture of the wire im supposed to pull (where is it)? This thread has a few pictures but those are for rams with hemis.
Shadow it doesn't work on 4.7.....sorry. i just did mine during my lunch break....seriously only took 10 minutes....got to leave here shortly, and will test it out....will post results when i get back.
