hi all my 02 ram1500 4.7 4x4 ever so offten i will be going down the road at speed. an it will drop in to 2gear can someone help me? thanks jim

 

I take it it's dropping to second without you giving it more throttle...what speed does this happen?

 

yes no more throttle i can be runing 55 or 75 it just drops in to second all by its self? even the indicator on the dash will drop to second thank for your help.

 

Get an exorcism done! I was going to say get the fluid and filter changed til I read that the indicator changes also. Check to see if the shift cable or connections on the drivers side of the tranny are goofed up. I wonder if the indicator is read from a sensor on the transmission. Otherwise I don't know what to tell you.
