Bought a 02 ram 1500 single cab 4x2 8ft bed. Great truck so far for work(landscaping) and a great buy as my first car in my own name *with my own money. Not bad for 19. But anyways my questions are as follows;

-I want a bed cover for under $500 and I don't want a single fiberglass sheet. Anyone enjoying their bed cover purchase?

-Are short ram(or long ram) cold air intakes worth it? Louder? Better MPG?

-My truck did not come with fog lights but I want to put them in. I was looking around and blinglights came up a lot but the name scares me. Does adding fog lights to a truck that did not come with them mean I have to install an extra switch in the cabin?

Welcome to the DF!! as for the cai, I think they are worth it. Yes they are louder at wot and i got an increase of 1.5-2mpgs. you could try to install hellas instead of foglights behind the grill. great 40 dollar mod

 

The foglight option is most likely already on your truck, you just need the lights. Look under your front bumper and see if there are wires hanging down. You can find OEM ones pretty cheap on ebay and craigslist. Dont buy blinglights.

My CAI gained about 1- 1.5 MPG and is louder, but I really like it!

And ARE makes the best hard top covers. Color matched they are expensive buy you can usually find one on Craigslist for pretty cheap.

 

look at the hella lights and make your own CAI out of PVC pipe for $40 and there you go!

 

Also does the 02 basic ram have the limited slip rear end?

 

Look inside your glovebox and see if the sticker says 'LSD' anywhere near '9.25 corporate'.
