I make them use Torque wrenches! If they dont have one, I bring one just in case! Improperly torqued wheels will wharp rotors in a heart beat, and that gets expensive. Also, by the time the rotors wharp, they have denyability, "its been a month, couldent have been anything we did!"

When I had my wheels put on, they used an air ratchet just to get them snug, then torqued them with a torque wrench to 135 lbs. Seems kind of high, but it didn't break at least.

Mavis is the worst, period. On two seperate accounts they failed to align my vehicle, at two different locations. Niether place could provide an alignment sheet of course. just tell me the machine was "in the green" when they were done. I got my money back twice.

I went to firestone, they were the next down the road. Once aligned at firestone, they provided the specs after mavis tires alignment job, and everything was so far out it was crazy. I could of eye balled an alignment and achieved closer specs.

A quick google search shows I am not alone. The alignment machine they use, the Eagle Vision, is garbage, AND, they will hire any moron in town. Sorry if I offend anyone who works for them.

There complete garbage.

The more you take your vehicle there, the more you have a chance of them breaking studs, installing brake pads incorrectly, screwing up an alignment and the like.

I do all of my own work on my truck, its easy for me to spot an idiot working on a vehicle, and the Mavis chain has LOTS of em.

Have reported to the BBB, and ironically met a person going in when i was leaving with my refund with a 2nd gen dakota who was having all sorts of wear problems after an alignment she had there, and i recommended firestone or the dealer for the alignment, and guess what? Specs showed they couldnt align it for ****. They are full of sh*t.

You should stop having your rotations there. It just increases the chance that some @$$hole who doesnt know how to thread a lug nut on and tq. it down correctly is going to damage somthing.
