When are you planning on doing your cam swap?
I am hoping that I will be able to do it at the end of the summer, it is just a question of if I will be able to find time to do it. Now that I got the dsp I am going to start accumulating the rest of the parts I need. I have a guy to do it lined up so the only thing left to work out is the time to do it.

I have seen these trucks personally at KRC Performance, Marty saves all the before and after dyno runs to his laptop. I have a problem with one of my dogs I came home from vacation and found basically lame. But after I deal with that, I'll try to get up to KRC to pick up a couple.
'Dog is correct though, the Mustang is always a good bit lower, so after you get yours done, we'll compare apples to apples...

Hey thats fine with me, like I said earlier I really only have what I have read elsewhere to compair numbers for this run. That being said, the main point is not to find out the power loss but to get a baseline to compare to after the other items are installed.

Hammer, you talkin 'bout me? ....lmfao Couldn't resist. Fit the profile to a T.

Anyways, For all the guys out there that are planning on doing multiple mods to their truck.
After putting lots of money into my mustnag like LT headers, Full catback, CAI, tuner...etc... The ist could go on and on. Roughly $12k worth of mods. Anyhow, after i bought a supercharger and slapped it on. I wish I had started there first! The gain for the $$$ far exceeds anything else. Now I bought a used one that was practically brand new and I'm sure there's nothing out there used for our trucks. Hard enough finding new. All I'm saying, gears, headers, cai all could be $$ going towards a S/C that will give way more gains then what those will do on their own. Now the S/C'er will do better with those mods, but at a much higher price tag. Just think of all the small mods added up? CAI=$289, Gears=$1200, LT headers=$500, Catback=$600. All together=$2589. Doesn't include a tuner as you would need one of those eitherway. If I could get a S/C'er for my truck for $4k I would do it in a heartbeat, but i don't think KB is gonna sell'em that cheap along with injectors, intercooler..etc.
My local Dyno Tune shop runs the car about 3-4 times and does his tuning thing. Runs about $175
3 pulls no tuning runs $125

Supercharger for 4k sign me up. Also sign me up to get a new tranny cause I am going to need one after burning a couple of ricers.

A S/C would be nice, no denying that. But I will disagree with you on one of your points there since you will end up needing a set of headers and a catback (or muffler) to open it up a little more to let the S/C breath and take advantage of all that power being produced. So why not build the truck up to a point where its a fun satisfying ride in the mean time, and save up for the S/C as you go? Sure you could go without the gears, but thats about it really cause I couldn't imagine that you would want to throw a nice $5-$6k S/C on a stock engine without improving a few things on it first.

Not necessarily. A Supercharger will still boost about 100rwhp even with stock exhaust. Sure, no denying that the other wouldn't accent the supercharger to much more potential but at a higher price tag as I stated earlier.

I'm just telling the guys who plan to full on mod their truck is all. If you are gonna stop with a CAI, catback, headers and gears then that's fine.

Quick question, if you baby the truck and only use that s/charger in 5th gear for higher top end, would you get away with not upgrading the tranny, thats why I am worried about it. I put in an exhuast, jba headers and an airaid MIT. I think I felt the airaid MIT give my truck the most punch for the money, I really didnt notice any gains from the butt dyno with my headers and exhuast. Just my opinion.
