Transmission issues!
Hey guys,
Ive got a 2003 Dodge Ram 2500 5.7L Hemi Magnum. I replaced the transmission in it a few months ago and now I am starting having issues again. I am going to price out putting a heavy duty transmission in but cannot figure out what transmission is currently in it or what I should consider replacing it yet. I know there are other options this is just one that I want to explore because I do a lot of snow plowing and towing. Thanks for any suggestions!

I know plowing can be tough on automatic transmissions. When I lived in upstate NY I had quite a few friends who plowed, most of them had diesels and always opted for manual trannies to avoid issues.
Of all the people I know who have had tranny rebuilds a good 3/4 of them have had issues way too soon with their rebuilts. I dunno if it's just that hard to rebuild one where most shops just can't do it well enough or if whatever they are specifically doing to tear up the originals are tearing up the rebuilds/replacements.
But yeah, as NV290 says, most shops give a 12/12,000 warranty MINIMUM and if it's only been a few months, I'd explore that avenue first...
