i'd get a slap shifter if the lever isn't too tall.

Take a piece of clay or something that is moldable and will harden and stick it on the threads and wait for it to harden then take it off and take it down to your guy. Whenever I run accross a bolt that needs a specific thread on it and cant take the bolt out I just make a quick impression of it on a bit of clay. Either that or take a straight on photo of it and email him that.

The guy that makes the shift ***** is in Tn, 700 miles away.
